About PresenterList

PresenterList is an open, community-maintained directory of presentation software used by churches: tools for projecting song lyrics, scripture, slides and media. The goal is simple: help churches find the right tool without digging through a dozen marketing sites.

How the data works

  • Every product is a single YAML file in the GitHub repository. The site is rebuilt from those files.
  • Each entry lists the sources used and the date it was last verified.
  • Features are only marked as supported when there's evidence. If we don't know, the feature shows as unknown (?) rather than guessing. Prices change often, so always check the vendor's pricing page.
  • Alternatives are ranked automatically by overlap in platforms and features, not by payment. There are no sponsored listings.
  • Homepage screenshots are captured automatically once a month with the same settings for every product. Cookie banners, ads and floating third-party widgets are hidden; nothing else is changed. Vendors can ask for a refresh or removal by opening an issue.
  • The full dataset is available as JSON.

What we compare

63 features in 4 groups. Bigger features are split into specifics, so "Slides" covers PowerPoint, Keynote, Google Slides, Canva, PDF and whether animations play. Browse all features.

Contribute

Spotted something wrong or missing? There are three ways to help:

  1. Submit a new product using the GitHub issue form.
  2. Use Suggest an edit on any product page to report a correction.
  3. Open a pull request editing the product's YAML file directly. See CONTRIBUTING.md.

Vendors are welcome to correct their own listings; please include a link to a public source.

Releases

The releases page follows the same rules for every product:

  • Releases are rolled up to at most one item per product per month, so products that release often don't crowd out the rest. Pre-releases and betas aren't included.
  • Each item links to the original release notes, with a short summary. We don't republish release notes or images.
  • Releases are collected automatically once a month from public GitHub and GitLab releases, release-note feeds and vendors' changelog pages. Summaries are written by AI (Claude) using the same instructions for every product, and checked for promotional wording before publishing.
  • Vendors and users can submit a release. If something here is wrong, or you'd like an item removed, open an issue and we'll act on it promptly.

Disclosure

PresenterList is maintained by the developer of TheOpenPresenter. That product is listed using the same schema, rules and ranking as every other entry, and corrections to any listing, including that one, are welcome.
